N. Korea Threatens Nuclear Deterrent

North Korea says publicly for the first time that

it will seek to acquire a nuclear deterrent unless

the United States drops what it calls its "hostile policy"

toward the communist state. But some experts doubt whether

North Korea has the technological capacity to resume
