There was a caterpillar crawling on a leaf.

One day it saw a bird flying in the sky.

“I wish I could fly,” it said.

And it saw a dragonfly flying around.

“I wish I could fly,” it said.

The caterpillar was sad and hungry.

It ate and ate.

It grew big and fat.

“I’m so sleepy,” it said.

The caterpillar made a shell to sleep in.

“I wish I could fly,” it dreamed.

And later the caterpillar woke up.

“Look at my wings!” said the caterpillar.

It became a beautiful butterfly.
